cocodrilo At the Tárcoles River estuary (Costa Rica), in some of the filthiest waters live dozens of large, healthy-looking crocodiles, which gave me an analogy as far as my work with community: a person might come from a muddy environment, but his or her *heart-mind-hand work* trilogy is always capable of fantastic creation. Once that person is given the initial push to think creatively, there’s no turning back! Community work is an opportunity to express ourselves to others, making them understand our perception and, to a certain extent, follow our own steps forward.

En el estuario del Río Tárcoles (Costa Rica), en algunas de las aguas más sucias, viven decenas de cocodrilos bastante grandes y de saludable apariencia, lo cual me dio una analogía en cuanto a mi trabajo comunitario: una persona puede venir del ambiente más pantanoso, pero su trilogía *corazón-mente-trabajo manual* siempre es capaz de producir creación fantástica. Una vez que a esa persona se le dé el empujón inicial hacia el pensamiento creativo, no tendrá retorno. El trabajo comunitario es una oportunidad de expresarnos hacia otras personas, haciéndolas comprender y percibirlo y, hasta cierto punto, seguir nuestros propios pasos hacia adelante.
